Check with your league. Our rec banned 2 3/4 but 2 5/8 are legal. Travel ball still plays with 2 3/4.

Easton's Sr. League baseball bats have a common theme: extra-long barrels and monster barrel diameters that, taken together, create the largest sweet spots of any bats in the field. Enter the Stealth Speed II, which is certain to outperform your expectations and, more importantly, your competition. Beyond the massive hitting zones, Easton technology is what truly differentiates the Stealth Speed II. The bat is equipped with the company's patented two-piece ConneXion system, which "hinges" during the swing to produce an efficient energy transfer. The bat's Integrated Matrix Technology (IMX), meanwhile, strengthens the bat's composite barrel, providing an extraordinary feel while virtually eliminating vibration. Combined, the technologies help players hit the ball further while using less energy through the arms and body.
The Stealth Speed II bat also employs Easton's Carbon Nanotube Technology (CNT). Made possible by Zyvex Nanosolve, CNT provides unmatched durability in the company's composite bat and handle designs. Finally, Easton uses a laser precision manufacturing system to minimize material overlap, removing excess mass from the barrel. This speeds up your swing so you can hit with greater power and confidence. Other features include an aggressive new graphic treatment, a -10 ultra-lightweight length-to-weight ratio, a 2-5/8-inch diameter barrel, a 29/32-inch tapered handle, and a 400-day manufacturer's warranty.
About Easton In 1922, Doug Easton began crafting custom wood bows and cedar arrows in Watsonville, California. Although Doug produced tournament-grade, footed cedar arrows for the archery champions of that era, he was constantly frustrated with the inconsistency and lack of uniformity of wood shafts. Convinced that consistently straight uniform arrow shafts were impossible to manufacture from wood, Doug turned his attentions to aluminum. In 1939, he began manufacturing aluminum arrows in Los Angeles. His instincts about this material were correct, and in 1941, California archer Larry Hughes won the national championship with a set of Doug's aluminum arrows. This was the beginning of a trend that would change traditional archery and transcend into numerous other sports arenas over the next 50 years.
Today, Jas. D. Easton, Inc. is a privately owned manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of sporting equipment, headquartered in Van Nuys, California. It currently employs more than 1,000 people worldwide in various distribution, manufacturing, sales and marketing capacities. Other operations are located in Salt Lake City, Utah, Mexico, and Canada. Easton is considered one of the world's preeminent innovators, designers, and manufacturers of sporting equipment. Much of this success is due to Easton's corporate strategy centered around producing products for the highest level of performance. Throughout its history, Easton has not only grown from within, but through the selective acquisition of other technology-based sporting goods companies.

Louisville Slugger TPX Triton Youth Baseball Bat Review

I bought this bat for Allstars and one of his friends hit a homer with it. He really liked the pop in this bat, but the second week, we were having some batting practice and he cracked it after about 6 or 7 pitches. It cracked almost completely around the middle. I love Louisville Slugger though, they took the bat back under warranty and replaced it with a new one. They were friendly and their return process was simple. I would recommend the brand, but not necessarily this bat. We will try the new one, they sent us a Z1000 composite as a replacement so we shall see.

Miken Freak Plus Slow Pitch Softball Bats Review

Miken Freak Plus Slow Pitch Softball Bats
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Core Review:
I've owned this bat (28oz version) for 2 years, spaning aproximately 250 games, and since I always let my teamates swing my bats, it has easily over 1500 hits on it by now. It's still going strong and has a lot of pop, with no rattle. It's been well worth the money and I expect to be using for at least 2 more years. I've recommended this bat for purchase for many of my friends who like swinging composite bats and those who've purchased one have been very happy with it. I've also purchased a 26oz Freak Plus for those long tournament days or when I start getting tired :) ...and it's also been a great bat.
More Details:
Good composite bats will increase their performance as more hits are put on them. Often people talk about the "break in" period of a bat, and for composite bats this is usually the time between unwrapping the bat until the player feels it's performing at a satisfactory level. Since there is currently no readily available consumer based measuring technique to define "performance" or what "satisfactory" is, it's usually a gut feel. But a general rule of thumb is that around 200-300 hits, a composite bat will be noticeably better than when first unwrapped. The Freak Plus is no exception. Be aware, there are better bats out there but this review is not an attempt at comparison, just a stand-alone opinion of what I feel is a great bat.
Good luck, and swing hard! :)

Designed for youth league players, the Louisville Slugger YB96M Maverick baseball bat is built for durability and performance. From the earliest days of the game, Louisville Slugger has employed the most powerful technology in the bat business. Back in the days of Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth, that meant putting the most skilled craftsmen at the lathe, where they handcrafted bats to the most demanding specifications of the world's most demanding players. Today, it means applying the latest aerospace technology to bat making, delivering high-tech aluminum, hybrid, and composite bats for youth, high school, college, and senior leagues.
The YB96M bat is made of a C1C composite, which embeds multiple layers of aerospace-grade graphite and S-glass fibers in a specially designed and toughened epoxy resin. The result is a bat with an optimum combination of performance and durability. Other features include a 2-1/4-inch barrel thickness, a Louisville Slugger end cap, a 7/8-inch standard handle with a synthetic grip, and a -11 oz. weight ratio without the grip. Available in lengths ranging from 27 to 31 inches (with weights from 16 to 20 ounces), the YB96M carries a one-year warranty.
About Louisville Slugger In many ways, the rich 120-year history of the Louisville Slugger baseball bat began in the talented hands of 17-year-old John A. "Bud" Hillerich. Bud's father, J.F. Hillerich, owned a woodworking shop in Louisville in the 1880s when Bud began working for him. Legend has it that Bud slipped away from work one afternoon in 1884 to watch the Louisville Eclipse, the town's major league team. After Pete Browning--the Eclipse's star who was mired in a hitting slump--broke his bat, Bud invited him to his father's shop to make a new one. With Browning at his side giving advice, Bud handcrafted a new bat from a long slab of wood. Browning got three hits using the bat the next day. Browning told his teammates, which began a surge of professional ballplayers visiting the Hillerich shop.
Although J.F. Hillerich had little interest in making bats, Bud persisted, eventually registering the name Louisville Slugger with the U.S. patent office in 1894. In the early 1900s, the company was one of the first to use a sports endorsement as a marketing strategy, paying Hall of Famer Honus Wagner to use his name on a bat. By 1923, Louisville Slugger was the selling more bats than any other bat maker in the country, with such famed clients as Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and Lou Gehrig. In the ensuing years, the company has sold more than 100 million bats, and 60 percent of all Major League players currently use Louisville Sluggers. The company now sells far more than bats, including fielding and batting gloves, helmets, catchers' gear, equipment bags, training aids, and accessories.

Miken Ultra Special Edition Review

Miken Ultra Special Edition
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Miken Ultra series bats have no warranties. What does this mean for the customer? Well, you pay $200 or more for a bat that may be defective, as mine was. The handle on my Ultra II began to separate from the barrel after only a couple months of use, and Miken would neither replace the bat nor refund my money. Their customer service is terrible and ill-informed: I was instructed to return the bat to Miken for replacement by a sales rep even though the bat does not carry a warranty. So I wasted $25 dollars on shipping too. It's quite shocking to have a metal bat break in the first place, but for a company not to stand behind a supposed high-end product they charge dearly for--that's the greatest shock of all.

This bat is as advertised. It was the cheapest aluminum model available on Amazon, so I was worried about its construction, but after a season of infield/outfield with it... it still works great. No dents or major dings - yet. I thought the problem was me with the old fungo I had been using, but the new one makes the job much easier... almost effortless. Anyway, this bat is nothing special, gets the job done and it looks good.

I actually purchased this bat, upon looking for a 26" big barrel bat. For the longest time, I couldn't find a 26" big barrel bat with a 2 5/8 inch barrel @ 16 oz. (Most leagues now are ruling 2 3/4 barrels illegal) Finally, I found one for my now 7 year old son. After we finished All-stars, I was looking for a bat that provided him greater bat speed, and this bat serves just that purpose at 26" 16". This bat has great feel, hits with great pop when my kid hits it. Great bat!
