(More customer reviews)We got this bag for our son to replace one of those long bat bags. Plenty of room for 2 gloves--first baseman's mitt and fielding glove--helmet, batting gloves, water bottles, etc., and the bats slide into pockets on the side of the bag. Since the bats are not completely enclosed in the bag, throwing the bag around the garage, into the car, at the field, etc., COULD damage the grips on the bat, but on the plus side you can tell whether or not you have your bat before you leave without having to open or check inside the bag. I think for smaller players (our son is 11) that this type of bag is much easier for them to carry and mirrors the backpack book bag they carry to school.
