(More customer reviews)I recently bought the DeMarini 243 after going yard with a teammates bat. I usually like a 34" that I can choke a little but decided on the 33". After taping up (about 14" out from knob with a bit of PT) I used in a game. Went 2-3 with a solid double to right center. I got jammed pretty bad on some inside cheese but checked the bat afterwards for any splinters\cracks and didn't find anything. Usually I would have gotten sawed off but at initial glance the DeMarini appeared fine. Next week I'm hitting BP and can't figure out whats wrong as my swing was on and I was squaring the ball. I should have hit several out (as the wind was blowing) but I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden I had warning track power. I did a closer examination of the bat and found that it had a crack near the factory tape that went about 75% around the handle. It was a very small, almost hairline crack. I called Demarini, as they offer a no questions asked 90 day replacement warranty, got the RA number and returned the bat. They said I should have the new bat in 7-10 days after receipt. Also, I would offer that if you swing a 33 you may consider going with a 34 as the bat feels that light. Enjoy!
