Rawlings One-Hand Training Bat Review

This is not a child's bat, it has a lot of weight out front. It is short (22" long) so it doesn't swing like a regular bat. In fact it's uncomfortable to try to swing it with two hands (at least for me) But, for one handed use, I can see how it can train your wrist cross-over feel.
I'm right handed so swinging something right to left feels natural. This bat in the right hand feels like a really heavy tennis racquet that wants to slip out of your hand (it's so heavy) you need to grip tight which messes with the smoothness of the wrist crossover but after a while you get used to it. Maybe this can improve your bat skills, but I don't know. Even more scary is trying to backhand with the left hand, I'm afraid I will throw the bat, it crosses over so fast. But, after a while you can get used to the short heavy backhand swing. Maybe that's the idea behind this profile bat. But I must say that this bat 'feels' like it wants to be thrown, like it will get away from you.
As far as quality, it is very well shaped and turned and the material is great (Pro Adirondack Ash wood) unfinished, so you can feel the raw wood, or can finish yourself with pitch or varnish.
